PROPOSED ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Lisa Norris who owns the real property located at 6244 Old Three Notch Road in Brantley, Crenshaw County, Alabama.

The violation consisted of Lisa Norris creating, operating, and not properly closing an unauthorized dump. 

The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $3,000. The Order, if issued, would require Lisa Norris to cease and desist from operating the unauthorized dump and submit a remediation plan to the Department. The plan would contain a timeline for remediation completion and appropriate site closure as well as the removal and transportation of all solid waste to a permitted municipal solid waste disposal facility or a legitimate recycling facility.

Interested persons may submit written comments, including a request for a hearing, within 30 days of the publication date of this notice to:

 The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice.
