public hearing has been cancelled.
The Alabama Department of
Environmental Management proposes to amend the Alabama State Implementation
Plan to adopt measures to address regional haze issues in
In
developing this SIP, ADEM met the requirements in the Clean Air Act involving
consultation with the Federal Land Managers (FLMs). This was accomplished through conference
calls, consultation meetings and through an advanced copy of the SIP for review
and comment. Documentation of the
consultation meetings and conference calls can be found in Appendix J of the
Regional Haze SIP. The comments received
from the FLMs on the Draft SIP are located in Appendix P of the Regional Haze
SIP.
The Department is also making
available for public comment a letter clarifying a Clean Air Act Section 110
State Implementation Plan (SIP) issue.
This issue is unrelated to the regional haze issue.
Copies of the proposed SIP are
available at a cost of 30 cents per page at each of the ADEM office locations
listed below or on the Internet at adem.alabama.gov/PubHearings/PubHearings.htm
at no cost.

proposed revisions. Attendance at the
hearing is not necessary to present such data, views, arguments, or comments as
the same may be submitted in writing, but must be received by the Hearing
Officer prior to 5:00 p.m. on April 25, 2008.
