Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Hilltop Meat Company, Inc., which operates Hilltop Meat Company located at 27630 Highway 29, in Andalusia, Covington County, Alabama.

The violation(s) consisted of failure to maintain records of leak detection, for the facility mentioned above.

The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $500. The Order, if issued, would require OWNER to: maintain records of leak detection.

Interested persons may submit written comments, including a request for a hearing, within 30 days of the publication date of this notice to:

The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice.
