Notice
of Availability of Proposed Total Maximum Daily Loads for Certain Waterbodies
Located Within the State of
Section §303(d)(1)(C) of the Clean Water Act (CWA), 33 U.S.C. §1313(d)(1)(C),
and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) implementing regulation, 40
C.F.R. §130.7(c)(1), require the establishment of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs)
for waters identified as being impaired pursuant to §303(d)(1)(A) of the
CWA. Each TMDL is to be established at a
level necessary to implement applicable water quality standards with seasonal
variations and a margin of safety, accounting for lack of knowledge concerning
the relationship between effluent limitations and water quality. At this time, the Alabama Department of
Environmental Management (ADEM) is proposing TMDLs for the following waters and

including supporting documents, technical information, and data, are available
for review during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, at the Main Office located at
